Jakob has a wealth of coaching, personal development and group facilitation experience, having undertaken paid and volunteer work for a number of for profit and non-for profit organisations. He has worked on a one on one and group level with both adolescents and adults in a range of contexts including schools, workplaces and in private practice. Jakob holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Coaching from the Australian College of Applied Psychology and has completed advanced level training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Jakob is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider and is always attending further training and personal development. Jakob is an ACC accredited coach and current member of the professional body The International Coaching Federation (ICF) and holds a current working with children’s check.

Jakob is passionate about supporting people to make changes to their lives and helping them to learn psychological skills that help them to cope with lifes ups and downs. Jakob discovered mindfulness skills in his late teens at a time when life was particularly trying. Learning these skills literally changed his world as he began to notice a range of benefits and general improvements in his mood and quality of life. He has gone to teach these skills to people from all walks of life and has even recorded his own set of activities which can be found here.
